I learned about this place, when I used to hang out with one of my friends who lived in Valley mills. I fell in love with the place and it has become a main stay for lunch &/or dinner when Im coming back from my ranch. It is a mostly family owned and run Chinese American restaurant. Good prices and good food.

They have a great menu selection for Chinese food and The basic American foods. Plenty of soups, noodles, poultry, pork, beef, and seafood dishes…. even some great spicy ones. I usually switch it up, back and forth when I go. They have a good selection and deal on their lunch specials too (11-3pm)- which comes with fried rice, egg roll and lately some steamed broccoli.. all for $5.95... you cant beat that my friends. My friend almost always get their Wonton soup, she really likes it. My favorite dishes are; General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Beef Broccoli, Pepper Steak and their Ultimate Burger Combo.

I haven’t tried everything they have…. but just about everything I have tried I like. My least favorite thing Ive tried of theirs is the Sweet and Sour pork…. something about the breading they use throws me off. It wasn’t bad, just not my cup of tea. Where as when I get their General Tso‘s, I can always expect a nicely spicy, flavorful, tender dish, with a decent fried rice, steamed broccoli and a pork egg roll. The sesame chicken and beef/broccoli dishes are equally as flavorful, tender and fresh. The fried rice is a very simple one, and tastes fine… Im sure they make it fresh every day. The egg roles, I feel are bought frozen, but they are of good quality.

Ive gotten the Ultimate Burger basket a few times now, and every time its equally delicious- Double Meat, cheese, bacon jalapenos and fries. The meat always tastes fresh and is juicy, properly cooked… and it does a damn fine job filling me up. The fries seem to be your basic Ore-Ida, accordian French Fries. I took one of my cousins up there one day, he also order a burger with jalapenos are really enjoyed it. So they got the burgers down.

The lady who runs it is very nice, every once in a while her kids will be hangin out around there. She has turned Burger-N-Wok into a staple to Valley Mills, with great and cheap food, accompanied with a nice atmosphere. There is always some either eating it, or getting something to go. There are plenty more items on their menu I would like to try, and plan to. I wish they were closer to Waco so I could eat there more often, so I treat it as a small treat every time I stop by. haha

So if you are ever traveling through Valley Mills or are heading to the Cold Comfort Ranch with me, and need some nourishment, stop on by and give them a try. Im pretty damn sure you wont be disappointed.
